It’s been a rather lengthy delay between my first Overtime, which is a bit embarrassing. *insert lame excuse for lack of posts*. I’m looking to kick start this properly in the new year, but wanted to not leave the very first Overtime post as the only one for 2013.
I spend a lot of time looking at others work and admiring it (albeit not recently, as life has been weird…). It inspires me. I’m looking to funnel that time spent looking at cool things and possibly helping myself (oh how selfish!) whilst possibly giving you all some nice things to look out and possibly check out.

I quite like this one because of the shadow underneath the quill. It’s not exactly X pixels top/left, but is on an angle – like most shadows are.
So simple, but very beautiful. I like the colour choices, and the crispness of the card as a whole. They say no 2 snowflakes are the same!
I’ve always loved illustrations that use bold strokes like this. The spoon disappears a little oddly, but the sauce and ice-cream scoops just look tasty!
Sketching that looks like this… my kryptonite. So awesome.
So simple, but I really like this. The (simple) fluidity of the innards and the colour palette – it’s a great icon!
I love the colours in this print. I’m also a sucker for seeing peoples work printed out and in their home/workplace. Plus it’s more of the kind of vector work I am a fan of..!
